Loading external sound & making Play, Pause & Stop buttons in ActionScript3
Recently I was in need of a set of simple play/pause and stop buttons for my background music in a little college Flash project. As simple as the task may sound,I came to discover that the stuff that's available online at the moment is way over-complicated - either the code is a mess, or the movieclips have way too many layers & nested movieclips inside them, & are impossible to edit without breaking the code.
So after figuring it out for myself I decided to post this ready-to-use package that includes the original .fla file with two simple movieclips for play/pause and stop buttons & the ActionScript3 code, an .swf preview and a sound file.
All you have to do is change the path of the sound file to your file name & location.
